Gender Identity: Cis man
Bolin sees himself as a man, but at the same time, it's not integral to his identity. If somebody misgendered him as a woman, he would only be mildly offended. He also sometimes thinks how awesome it would be to be a girl, because he thinks girls are awesome and they get really pretty clothes and makeovers. If he were to find himself in a woman's body, he wouldn't be any more uncomfortable than if he suddenly found himself in another man's body.

Sexual Identity: Heterosexual, skewing very slightly bi
Bolin has occasionally been attracted to men, but he overwhelmingly prefers women.

Romantic Identity: Panromantic
Bolin can fall in love with anyone, regardless of gender. He can fall in love with people he has no sexual attraction to. He loves love and doesn't try to put caps or restraints on it.

Bolin's weapon is from the Initiative's inventory. It's a false mustache that, much like Clark Kent's glasses, makes him completely unrecognizable as himself.

At first, it will only affect people who look directly at Bolin's face. Somebody may recognize him from behind, grab his shoulder "Hey Bolin -- oh, sorry man. I thought you were someone else." If someone is describing mustached!Bolin to another person, they would say "He looks just like Bolin -- but he has a mustache."

As the weapon evolves, it can actually alter how people see him. They may remember him as taller than he is, or shorter, or with a deeper voice, or lithe as a dancer. It doesn't give him control of how other people see him, and two people looking at him at the same time will see two different Bolins.

The only constants are the gender of the wearer (for Bolin, he will always be a man. if a woman put it on, she would always be a woman), and that the person (man or woman) has a mustache.
